eCommerce – shopping funnel optimization

Bemz is a Swedish design company that supplies its customers with everything they need to create new life and a unique style for their IKEA furniture. Their main markets in addition to Sweden are the USA and Germany. They had recently launched their new website, but they noticed a drop in sales and an increase in calls to customer service. As a result, they turned to us to help them figure out the problem and improve the shopping funnel.

The problem

Our research revealed that few users interacted with the product page. There was minimal usage of filters, and users had to scroll up and down the page to view various fabrics, apply a fabric, and preview it on the product image. The page load time was slow, and a significant number of customer service inquiries were related to shipping information.

The process

We conducted a CRO audit, used Hotjar for heatmaps and recordings, and interviewed both customer service and the store manager. Once we had a clear understanding of the most critical issues to address, we began creating a highly functional and user-friendly HIFI prototype that we tested with users.

The solution

The focus for the new solution was a product page where both the fabrics and the product image could fit above the fold, easier access to relevant information such as shipping information, more visible and relevant filters, a clear USP for all fabrics, clear CTAs above the fold, and a faster funnel from the start page to check-out.
